To Remember

Our family blog is meant for a small audience of the people that care the most about us and we about them. It is our family record of memories and experiences that will help us remember how blessed we are to be together. The joyous opportunities in life are meant to help us through the challenges of life. We have much to be grateful for-blogging it helps us REMEMBER.

Gig Harbor 4th of July

We moved to Gig Harbor Washington! You can tell right? Its the 4th of July and there are no blue skies! Well, it was actually a pretty gorgeous summer and we have enjoyed it a lot so far. It just happened to be overcast on the 4th. We were invited by my cousin Jacob and his wife Crystal to go to their city park fest in Auburn. They had a lot going on. A car show...
Petting zoo...

Hand painting... they would have painted her face but Maren stuck out her hand.

Pony ride. It was a lot of fun for the kids. That night we were invited to a family in the

Another day we went out to Puyallup to a farm trying to recreate some of the fun experiences we had in Oregon. We found about a thousand chickens in a coup. Eva was mesmerized.

We also took a trip into Seattle.

Pikes Place Market

Its been fun exploring our new home and are excited to start our future here in Washington!

June Trip to Utah

Its always so fun to get together when extended family is in town in Utah. A bunch of blondies in pink and red. So cute.

Maren bonded with Alina, her 2nd cousin.

Eliza had not met Eva until this trip as she was on a mission when Eva was born. They clicked pretty fast.

Can't go to Utah and skip Temple Square.

We also got to come to the Garlick family trip to Sonwbird.

Maren got to ride on the tram with all her aunts and uncles.

Though it was June, it was quite cold at the top!

We also got to meet baby Will!

Look to the right! The pictures on the side were taken on our last trip to Snow bird! Fun.
This picture cracks me up. Look at Eva's smile.

Always time for stories with grandma

Maren got to ride a pony with Uncle Isaac!

The cute girls again.

The pony carriage ride. So fun.

Annie had her baby! Grandchild #4

Oh my this day was as good as going to Disneyland for Maren. She got to wear Aunt Eliza's prom dress.

And get her hair done in a fancy princess bun with a tiara.

Eva joined in too.

That Aunt Eliza...her excitement even got grandma and I in a princess dress. One of those moments that may never be repeated but also never forgotten.

I am pretty sure we own a Disney princess puzzle that looks almost identical to this picture. Maren sure knows what she is doing. Look at that pose. Wow wee.

We wanted to take her to the princess fest they have in Utah county but this turned out to be so much better. We had a dance party to Disney music and ate a royal snack. It was truly magical. Thanks Eliza for making it happen!

Post Graduation-Last days in Cali

Playing in the backyard...in the windowsill.

We went to the drive-in movie theaters for the first time ever. I loved their old school lights that have probably been their since they opened. You cant find these theaters very many places anymore.

We went with this lovely couple and had a lot of fun.

I loved getting the chance to have a girls night out with some of my favorite people! It seems as if we have never done this before and it was much needed! I wish we could do it regularly.

Each one of them has shaped who I am today! Love you guys!

Enjoying the last days out at the pool. It was as if we were on a 3 month vacation and it was time to check back into reality.

Even though Maren's hand is blocking half her face, it was still a shot worth sharing.

Stinson Beach! Also another first, to get my family together at the beach! Now that we have families of our own it was a blast to go to the beach together, something we havent done in years and have never done since we have had kids of our own.

Cousin time! Maren spent her spring playing with these two. She misses them a lot!

Couldn't resist the old school life guard post. Don't we look like real lifeguards? Oh yeah.

Cant capture enough pics of grandparents with grand kids. I love to be together!

For the family birthdays in May June and July we had a birthday party! I made root beer float cupcakes that tasted a lot like a real root beer float.

Amber and Tatum gave Maren an outfit so they could match! So cute.

It was hard to leave the family fun. We miss and love you!
