To Remember

Our family blog is meant for a small audience of the people that care the most about us and we about them. It is our family record of memories and experiences that will help us remember how blessed we are to be together. The joyous opportunities in life are meant to help us through the challenges of life. We have much to be grateful for-blogging it helps us REMEMBER.

Dr Garlick has graduated!

On May 17-18, 2013 Spencer became an OD. This was the first sight of him coming down the stairs in his regalia. Look how happy he is. Great day.

Friday May 17th, they had an Optometry-only ceremony in doors while the weather was nice outside.

Chris Lowe was the valedictorian

The girls in action. A lot of time was spent together at our homes and the park. It was sad to say goodbye.

This is just hilarious. Don't ask what I am doing...or what anyone is doing for that matter! I am pretty sure I am picking a fight with someone.

The girls.

Sad to say but I was planning on having cute family pictures taken of us the next day but the weather did not want to cooperate. I had just gone to pic up the girls from a babysitter and managed to capture these few.

At least there is one good one of us on this memorable day.

The couples together.

Maren enjoyed the cap. Excited to see her wear her own one day.

I think I am going to miss this girl the most. Have had some great conversations with her that will forever mean so much to me at this special time of our lives. Thank you for being such a great friend Karen!

Friends!

This one is a bit random but part of the trip. Brother Mitchell was a friend with whom we helped in his garden. I can honestly say it was one of many life changing moments to grow a garden and to work along side him. We stopped by to say hello and it brought tears to his eyes that we thought of him. Makes me want to always grow a garden.

So of course the day the ceremony is outside we get dumped on. No we were not wearing our pre-chosen dress clothes for the special occasion, we are wearing rain boots, rain coats, plastic bags, and jeans. Not how I imagined it all going but when you live in the NW you learn to let it dampen the fun.

So excited for this handsome guy! Walking up to get hooded.

After being hooded. Sad to say it was difficult to get a shot of him getting hooded.

Diploma in hand. Its official!

Happy and wet. Last time in a long time that we get the chance to hang out in the rain together.

Just a few word about the last four years: They have been a special time for us. A time where we grew...grew our family, grew closer together, grew to be more patient, understanding, devoted, hard-working, confident, spiritual and faithful. The list can go on and on. In the end I coudn't be happier married to this guy. He is a wonderful example and my best friend. Thank you for all you do Spencer. I love you!

Rest of out California Rotation Vacation!

I love the spring in California. It is ideal weather, so there are always so many fun things to do outside. Half the time the kids were in their swimsuits. Great memories.

California State Capitol

We took a day and explored downtown Sacramento-Mainly the capitol building which is beautiful. As you can see below the kids enjoyed being out and having a picnic on the grounds. Not much else to say about that. I apologize that my recent and future posts may be uninteresting to read...my purpose is to get them documented!

Ward Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Sunday

Love this pic of Eva casually strolling with her Easter basket looking for eggs.

One is enough to keep this girl satisfied

Maren on the other hand is all stocked up.

This years baskets. Made them myself... actually I didn't. I wont pretend to be wonder mom!

On Easter sunday I never got a pic of the girls after church in their matching dresses as Eva fell asleep.

So we caught a few of  Maren and I

While at my mom's house Maren was a puzzle whiz.

Love the adorable baby dogwood in the backyard.

The family for Easter dinner!
